💵 Cashier (Part-Time)
Location: Bhubaneswar
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to handle transactions accurately while providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash, credit, and other transaction types accurately and efficiently.
- Scan goods, ensure pricing is correct, and issue receipts, refunds, or change.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Greet customers warmly and resolve customer inquiries or complaints politely and effectively.
- Process returns and exchanges according to company policy.
- Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Assist with basic stocking or merchandising tasks when the register is slow.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (mandatory); further education is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Cashier, Retail Associate, or in a similar customer service role (preferred).
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Odia and/or English/Hindi.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle busy periods calmly.
- Trustworthiness and professional conduct.
Preferred Skills (The “Bonus Points”)
- Familiarity with electronic point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management.
- Experience in retail or food service in the Bhubaneswar area.
